STUDENT MEMBERS

The Explorers Club cherishes its past but is firmly focused on the future. It may be no exaggeration to suggest that the very existence of our planet will be in the hands of the young explorers and scientists being trained today. A primary objective of the Club is to identify the next Henson, Hillary, or Heyerdahl and foster those traits of vision, courage, and tenacity that make exploration among the most compelling and relevant of high-risk enterprises.

Join us!
Student membership in the Club is open to explorers at least sixteen years of age and not more than twenty-four years of age who are enrolled full-time at an accredited college or high school.

Lectures by Student Members
Twice a year, several student members of The Explorers Club deliver a lecture about their expeditions and field research. For upcoming lectures, see the online calendar.

Funding & Resources
The Club provides timely encouragement to young men and women who stand at the threshold of an exciting career in field science through our grant programs. The Exploration Fund and Youth Activity Fund were established to help build a reservoir of talented youth from all social and economic backgrounds who are willing to go to the ends of the earth and beyond to satisfy their thirst for knowledge.

Mentors
Mentors are dedicated to providing guidance to student members of the Club on all aspects of field exploration and membership.

Grant Expedition Reports
Every year, the Club supports the field research of graduate, college, and high school students through the Exploration Fund and the Youth Activity Fund. Explorers.org is seeking digital copies (MS Word or PDF) of official grant reports submitted by recipients of these funds, for posting online.

Please direct digital reports, on CD or as email attachment, to:
